What is your motivation to run? I want to improve on my running and become better and faster. What do you find special about yourself? I like to keep a very relaxed mindset; I want running to be moving meditation. How do you prepare for a meet? Tai-chi. I use Tai-chi so I can focus on my running. How does Tai-Chi help you? If you do it enough, then it sticks onto you. The feeling of serenity sticks and there is minimal pain. What are the similarities between Cross Country and Tai-Chi? You have to be very loose and very calm to conserve energy in both activities. What is your motivation? I didn’t join to compete but I joined to see how it affects me and my Tai-Chi.What have you learned from Cross Country? I learned the importance of perseverance in sports, activities, and in all aspects of life. How does Cross Country make you feel? Cross Country makes me feel free, the freedom of running really gets to me.Is practice too intense? Practice is not too intense, honestly, we need more intervals. How do you feel before a meet? My mind feels empty due to the Tai-Chi that I use to prepare before a meet. What was your favorite meet so far and why? Saltcreek Beach. Running in the sand made it very difficult so it was the most difficult course we had run. The huge hill is what caused most of this difficulty. |
