The Varsity Baseball team pounded on the Eagles last night to reclaim soul possession of first place in a 12-3 decision.

All but one Patriot had a hit, including multiple hit games from Hayden Higger (So.), Ryan Plunkett (Sr.), and Cameron Bedard (Sr.).  Oxford Academy got on the board early and often scoring three runs in the first and five in the second for an early lead and refused to let up scoring in every inning except for one. Steve Criss earned the win for the Patriots combining with Patrick Zajac and Daniel Lucak to keep the Eagles to just three runs after allowing seven runs and three home runs on Tuesdays loss.

The Patriots remain undefeated on the road this year and go in to next week in first place in the Academy League with a 7-2 record in league dropping CVC to a 7-2 record as well. The Patriots have the tie breaker against the Eagles and go in to next week to play fourth place St. Margaret's Tartans. Capistrano Valley Christian plays third place Sage Hill Next week. The Patriots first of two games next week against the Tartans is at home on Tuesday at 3:15 PM.
